Hannah Weinberger presents a new performative installation from the Aftermath series. The artist created this piece specifically for the Salute cinema venue. Watching films in a cinema is a collective social ritual that has been dramatically affected by the pandemic. Hannah dedicated to this ritual a sound environment filled with endless anticipation, suspense without catharsis. During the lockdown, many were watching films to escape from their own home. They tried to slip away from solitary confinement: those who followed the rules of social isolation missed the opportunity to experience things together. The project deals with the broken social bonding phenomenon. Hannah manages the environment and works with social choreography. The audience moves through space and makes simple movements that affect the environment, thereby becoming a part of the installation. Hannah uses sound to change the roles we play in everyday life.
