Jerome Leuba explores the collective body: how it acts, fills space, and changes under the influence of invisible impetuses and restrictions. The artist created a new work from the Battlefield series for the Biennial. His performative activities, which first may seem imperceptible, reveal zones of tension. Performers do simple routine actions in accordance with the situation, but, in fact, they break out of it. The "social sculptures" scattered both inside and outside of the former cinema highlight the unspoken rules that society obeys.
