Gosha Yelayev (b. 1988, Tobolsk, Russia) is a graphic artist, comics writer and publisher. He graduated from the Department of Philology of Tyumen State University with a degree in journalism. Later he studied at the NEMOSKVA curatorial school. He lives and works in Tyumen. Georgy is a guest artist for the spring program at Rucka Art Residency (Cesis, Latvia, 2019), and the spring program at Pumpkin's Remote Residency (Chicago, USA, 2020). In 2019 he became a participant of the special project of the 5th Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art, as well as several American art festivals: Comic Arts Brooklyn, Short Run Seattle and Chicago Art Book Fair. Georgy is the winner of the grant competitions of the Tyumen region administration "My Idea" and "Workshop"
Art group Cosmic Cow - is a fluid association of young artists from Tyumen, founded in 2016 by Margarita Obukhova, Maria Mikhailenko and Nikita Plekhanov. The artists explore Tyumen identity and local myths through the prism of the philosophy of dark enlightenment, using practices of communal living, drifting, unlearning and sharing.
