Born in 1973 in Nizhny Tagil, from 1994 to 1997 he worked as a welder in the Blast furnace shop of the Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Combine. In 1997 he started his studies at the Art and Graphic Department of the Nizhny Tagil Pedagogical Institute and graduated in 2002.

Vladimir was the organizer and member of the art group Zer Gut (2001–2005).

Since February 2005, he was the curator of art projects of the Action Center  N. O. G. A. (Ekaterinburg).

From November 2006 to April 2019, he was the curator of the Ural branch of the National Center for Contemporary Arts (NCCA-ROSIZO).

His works are in collections of the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts, the State Center for Contemporary Arts (Moscow), the Museum of Modern Art PERMM (Perm), Stadtgalerie (Kiel, Germany).

From 2014 to 2018 taught at the Russian State Pedagogical University, at the department of Art and Design.

In 2017 and 2019 – curator of special projects of the Ural Biennial.

Lives and works in Ekaterinburg.
